Day 5 - Your favorite book : Blood Promise

I know, most people would probably state Shadow Kiss or Last Sacrifice as their favorite book. Shadow Kiss is my favorite too but after reading the books for a second time, I came to realize that I actually love Blood Promise. The first time round I wasn’t really into the book(I think I sped read it lol) because I was anxious about finding Dimitri. I didn’t know when he would appear or how but I dreaded it. Reading the book for a second time, I was able to appreciate new details. This is sort of the first book where Rose isn’t at the academy. I love how she’s on a journey of her own, for love. The book shows us how far she would go for love and how that very same reason almost killed her. This book is the crux of Rose and Dimitri’s relationship and sometimes I feel like it could almost be a stand alone book, almost. This book hits hard on the emotions from the flashbacks to how badly I could feel that Rose wanted to stay in Baia, you know be surrounded by people of Dimitri because it seemed like the next best thing and how she felt like she didn’t belonged anywhere. Rose is not perfect and we get to see that in this book but she still manages to get back up and fight, like always. And, I thought time away from Lissa did wonders for their friendship, minus the whole Avery thing. It’s great that we also get to learn more about Spirit(how there might be hope though after Last Sacrifice it’s not really Rose’s issue anymore)and the whole mental battle thing at the end was cool.
