Day 14 - Your favorite friendship : 5. Rose and Lissa

“You need to get some sleep,” I told her.

“I can’t sleep.”

“Yes, you can. I’m right here. You won’t be alone.”

I think the manip looks horrible but I tried :| Anyway, because I can’t choose just ONE favorite friendship, I’m gonna be doing five :) They are not in order, okay maybe they are in order. And I just realized I posted three Rose and Lissa stuff in a row. /pleasefeelfreetodeletethiswhenyoureblog/

Day 9 - A scene that makes you happy

Excitement surged through me. “Tell me, tell me you beat the crap out of him.”

His smile grew. “I did.”

“Wow.” I hadn’t thought Dimitri could be any cooler, but I was wrong. “You beat up your dad. I mean, that’s really horrible…what happened. But, wow. You really are a god.”

So many scenes from the books make me happy lol. I picked the scene where Dimitri bandages Rose’s hands in the first book(one of the first Rose and Dimitri moments that made me smile). It’s very long so I didn’t quote the whole scene but I love that scene because they were slowly opening up to each other. He massages her hands, tells her about his family and squeezes her hand back. Rose tries to clear up the Jesse incident and we see how much she wants Dimitri to believe her. Not that she has to try at all, because he does(and always will) and he sees her for what she truly is. And the scene ends with Dimitri touching Rose’s hair :)

Day 4 - Your least favorite character : Tasha Ozera

“Dimka, not you too,”

I didn’t hate Tasha from beginning despite her making moves on Dimitri. I’ve always thought she was awesome for picking up moves to defend herself and I approved of the use of magic. But then things got really wrong. She killed Tatiana and that’s probably the worse thing that could happen right? But no she had to frame Rose for some serious crime which IMO was a really dirty move. What I couldn’t stand was that she still tried to play it innocent till the very end. Plus she set-up Lissa to be the Queen so she could manipulate her. Not cool.

Day 2 and 3 - Your favorite female character/Your favorite character overall : Rose Hathaway

“I just don’t like being treated like…a girl.”

Since they are both Rose, I’m combining these two. I love Rose Hathaway. I think she’s actually my favorite female book character out of all the books I’ve read. She’s brave, loyal, has a wicked sense of humor and is a total badass. Slaying vampires left and right while on the hunt for your boyfriend who has turned evil so you can kill him? Check. She also has a good heart, throwing the Moroi, dhampirs and in some instances even humans before her. She’s not perfect but I do love her ‘I take no shit from you’ attitude. 

Day 1 - Your favorite male character : Dimitri Belikov

” Wait until next time, I’ll do things that’ll make you loose control within seconds. “

Ahh Dimitri :) I never thought I would fall in love with a character who wears a cowboy duster, reads western novels and listens to the 80’s music. But I did, I mean how can you not? Imagine him whispering your name with a Russian accent. :D He may not be your typical YA bad boy with issues but he’s just every bit as intriguing. I love moments when he’s with Rose, he says stuff that makes me swoon but isn’t overly cheesy. And he’s a BADASS but that intensity doesn’t just apply to battle but love as well. The dude beat up his own Dad when he was 13 because he couldn’t stand what his Dad did to his Mom. He’s protective over the ones he love but he isn’t a control freak like: No, you can’t do that. It’s too dangerous. Even as a Strigoi, I could never really hate him. In fact I think it made him hotter lol because he wasn’t so much in check. You know I was just kidding about the last part right?
